...[right now] ... [right now is all we have].
It’s true. The present moment is the only one that truly matters—yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is not yet here. Each moment holds its own challenges and solutions, but they don’t belong to today. I used to feel sad thinking about time in this way (and sometimes I still do), but I’ve come to realize that it is the truth. Embracing the present has been the only way for me to keep moving forward in life. Focusing on anything else only made me feel overwhelmed.
Every morning, I wake up and thank God. He’s always the first thing on my mind and the last thing before I sleep. I look to Him to guide my steps throughout the day and in every decision I make. I pray for His hedge of protection, and I place all my hope in Him being here for me, with me, just as He promises in His Word.
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” — Deuteronomy 31:8
And I’m deeply grateful. There are so many things I enjoy in my day—small joys and little tasks—and I hope to accomplish the things that God has assigned me to do. But my will to live and keep going each day is grounded in my love for God. He is my joy, my hope, my love, and my life source.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” — Psalm 28:7
God promises that when we reach heaven, He will not only wipe away all our tears, but we won’t even remember the pains and struggles of this life. Our time on earth will be redeemed. And so, once again, the time we have now is the most precious, because it’s all that truly matters.
This doesn’t mean the past or the future has no value—nor the people who were or will be around us. But the present is where we are, and it’s where we interact with God’s purpose for our lives. This is where we are called to fulfill whatever He has planned for us.
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” — Hebrews 11:1
So, the best age to be is now. Because this is the age we’re alive, this is the age we can walk with God, and this is the age we can live out His purpose for us.
I pray many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many blessings over you!
