...being a housewife and mother.

It’s been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I remember playing church with my older brother, where he’d drive, and I’d hold the baby in my arms in the passenger seat, with the other two children in the back, all dressed in our Sunday best. I’ve always longed for that kind of life—the one where I can nurture a family, love my husband, and take care of a home.

But that dream is still on hold. I thought I found my husband a few years ago, but he turned out to be a self-exposed fraud. It was devastating, to say the least. And yet, even now, I hold onto the hope that God hasn’t forgotten me. I pray that He has someone special in mind for me to share this dream with. I want to believe that the longing in my heart isn’t just a source of sadness, yearning, and heartache. Sometimes I don’t know how to feel about it, especially since I’ve been on my own for so long, trusting God to guide me.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31

I’m thankful that I didn’t settle for just anyone. I’ve waited, and I will continue to wait for the right man—the one that God has prepared for me. I long for a husband who will never hurt me like I’ve been hurt in the past. That is the man I will serve for the rest of my life. And with God’s help and guidance, I will strive to be a good wife, partner, and mother to his children, supporting him in all that we are called to do together.

“He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” — Proverbs 18:22

Until then, I trust that God is working, preparing both me and the man He has in store for me. I pray that when the time comes, He will lead us together, and that we will build the family I’ve always dreamed of, rooted in His love and grace.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6

I pray many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many blessings over you.
