…The Almighty God!

Honestly, I wouldn’t call on any human being. The source of all my good things is and always will be God! I call on Him with one simple move: Prayer. And guess, what? He always shows up to help.

I can’t tell you how many times He’s saved my life—and yours too! Think about it: How often do we overlook His hand in the little things, like waking up each morning, being protected from unseen dangers, or finding peace in the chaos? Yet, He is always there, waiting for us to reach out.

The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:6:

”Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God?.” —Philippians 4:6

This erase is a constant reminder that we don’t need to panic or feel lost when challenges come. Instead, we can turn to God with everything—our worries, dreams, and ever our failures.

Another powerful truth is found in 1 John 5:14-15:

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us–whatever we ask–we know that we have what we asked of him.” -1 John 5:14-15

When I pray, I know God list ends—not like an answering machine that records but doesn’t respond. He truly hears and answer in His perfect timing. Sometimes it’s a yes, sometimes a no, and sometimes it’s a wait, I’m working on it. But no matter the answer, His will is always best.

But the number one reason I’d call on my God is this: That He truly loves and cares for me. I don’t know what I’d do without His presence in my life; roll over and die perhaps. But, I don’t have to, because He promised to never leave or forsake me. I’ve shared this verse already in a previous post, but I’m going to share it again. It’s one of my favorites:

”For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

This verse reminds us that God’s love is unshakable unconditional, and eternal. It’s a love so deep that nothing in existence—no hardship, no failure, no force—can separate us from Him. I don’t know about you, but that’s the kind of being I’ll save my last phone call for!

So, if I had one phone call left, it wouldn’t be to say goodbye to anyone or to fix a problem myself. I’d use it to call on the One who holds my life, my purpose, and my eternity in His hands. God is the ultimate rescuer, providers and guide, and with Him, I know I’ll never be alone.

If you’ve never “called on Him before, you can start now. Prayer doesn’t need to be fancy; it just needs to be honest. Speak to Him like you would a trusted friend, and watch what He does in your life. I can vouch for that!
