...My God--in just one word? Impossible.
My best friend is God; though I think by now you already knew that. He sits on the throne of my heart, forever and ever. But if I had to describe Him in one word, I simply couldn’t. There isn’t a single word in any language that could fully capture who He is. So, I will do my best with the words we have though even then, I know, they will never be enough:
- God is beautiful, for all creation reflects His glory:
“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” -Psalm 27:4
- God is loving, for His love is beyond measure:
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” -Psalm 103:8
- God is caring, for He watches over His children:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” -Peter 5:7
- God is merciful, for He forgives and redeems:
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” -Lamentations 3:22-23
- God is heroic, for He saves us from sin and death:
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” -Psalm 18:2
- God is forgiving, offering grace beyond human understanding:
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” -John 1:9
- God is patient, always giving us time to return to Him:
“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” -Peter 3:9
- God is kind, showing endless compassion:
“The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His works.” -Psalm 145:17
- God is always there, never leaving our side.
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” -Hebrews 13:5
- God is committed, never breaking His promises:
“God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” -Numbers 23:19
- God is loyal, a true and faithful friend:
“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” -2 Thessalonians 3:3
- God is faithful, keeping His covenant forever:
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations.” -Deuteronomy 7:9
- God is persistent, pursuing us with relentless love:
“Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” -Psalm 23:6
- God is the Light, shining in the darkness:
“Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'” -John 8:12
- God is the Truth, the only way to salvation:
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” -John 14:6
- He is the Vine, the source of all life and growth:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.” -John 15:5
- God is the Water of Life, quenching the thirst of our souls:
“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” -John 7:38
- God is our Creator, the One who formed us with love and purpose:
“So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” -Genesis 1:27
- God is Perfection, holy and without fault:
“As for God, His way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in Him.” -Psalm 18:30
- God is everything and all that I need. Every good thing comes from Him:
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” -James 1:17
My best friend is God. He is beyond words, beyond comprehension, beyond measure. And yet, He chooses to love me.
For that, I will never stop loving and praising Him.

Below, I’m sharing a video on the subject of what an “isolation period” is and how to walk through that season with as much grace and understanding as possible:
P.S.
Yes, I film this with a potato. <3
You are truly a blessing and God has given you the creativity to master his words in a way that is compassionate and empathetic towards mankind.
Thank you!
