...my Elohim.
God is all I need. Truly. It is through Him that all good things flow. And even the bad things? He turns those around too—for my good—because I love Him and abide in Him.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” —Romans 8:28
If I were stranded, alone and isolated, it wouldn’t shake my faith—not even for a second—because God has already proven Himself to me time and time again, especially in the hardest chapters of my life. When no one else could save me, He did. Every time.
“The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” —Psalm 121:7–8
I believe without hesitation that God would deliver me—even from a desert island—just like He has delivered me from emotional, spiritual, and physical battles in my past. He is my Lord and my Savior, my Hero and my King. When He says:
“I will be with you” -Isaiah 43:2
He means it. I know, because I’ve lived it.
Even if I had nothing else on that island—not food, not water, not shelter—I know my God would provide for me. Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 4:19
He is the best company you could ever ask for. His presence is all I need to survive—no, to thrive. It’s His presence that gives me peace, strength, and hope to keep moving forward.
So yes, if I was marooned on a desert island, I would only need my God—my Elohim. Because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17), even in the most desolate places. And wherever He is, I’m home. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
