…His kindness.

God is so very kind, and patient too. I’ve never experienced anything like it. God is amazing for so many reasons (every reason, really). He is an all-powerful God who created all things and allows us to wake up and exist each day! For that alone, He deserves our praise and commitment to Him.

But it’s His kindness that really touches me. He could have been a hard-hearted God who forces us to do whatever He commands, but He isn’t like that at all. He gives us life and this planet to dwell in; but most of all, He gives us the gift of free will. If you praise Him and commit to Him, it’s because you really want to—because you choose to.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” —1 Corinthians 13:4-8

“The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.” —Psalm 116:5

Not only that, but His kindness has no limit. He is merciful and forgiving, even to those who never acknowledge Him; even to those who hate Him! He has shown me time and time again how much He loves us, no matter what, because we are His creations—His children. His kindness reflects His love. He is the definition of love!

“But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.” —Psalm 86:15

And love is kind, patient; it always endures and always wins! And boy, has He won me over. My heart belongs to Him. I’ve seen what this world has to offer. I’ve been betrayed by people who said they loved me or cared about me when they really didn’t at all. They cared about what I could give them or how I could serve their egos, and as soon as something else came along, they ditched me.

But God is so different.

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” —Psalm 145:18

He never leaves me nor forsakes me. He fights for me, and all I need to do is be still, abiding in Him. And He, in turn, abides in me. My prayers and tears are heard and seen and treated with such care.

I feel like a princess with Him. I’ll never receive this kind of care and love anywhere else. I’d miss Him if He left. But, luckily, He promised never to do that.

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” —Hebrews 13:5

He will be with me even in the grave! Even when I am frustrated or complain, He helps me find peace.

I owe Him everything, even if my efforts are mere dirty rags. I will offer them up, the best that I have, with my whole heart, in hopes that He understands how much He means to me.

“We love because He first loved us.” —1 John 4:19

He never gives up on us. He’s always waiting to welcome us home to His heart like the prodigal son. And I just run to Him.

I’ll take whatever He has for me because I know it’s better than anything the world tries to tempt me with.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” —Jeremiah 29:11

His kindness is beyond compare, and that’s why He is my best friend. I can always depend on Him.

I pray that you’re able to feel/see God’s kindness in your own life. And as usual:

I pray many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many blessings over you!
