...Prayer.

I pray about everything, just as God’s Word commands us:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” -Philippians 4:6

Prayer is a sacred form of communication with our Creator. I talk to God about everything–my struggles, my confusion, my triumphs, and even the simple details of my day. When I feel overwhelmed, I lay my burdens at His feet, trusting in His promise:

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” -1 Peter 5:7

Sometimes, I don’t come to Him with requests at all. I simply pray because I love Him, because I want to commune with my best friend the One who never leaves me, the One who understands me better than anyone ever could.

Prayer is powerful. It isn’t just words; it’s an act of faith. When we pray and truly believe, things shift in the spiritual realm. Jesus Himself assured us:

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” -Mark 11:24

More often than not, my prayers turn into praise. Not just in anticipation of what God will do, but because I know He hears me. My worries no longer consume me the way they once did because I have confidence that He is in control. His Word reassures me:

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” -Psalm 145:18

I’ve learned that no matter what I face, I don’t have to carry it alone. When I turn to God in prayer, I find peace, strength, and the assurance that I am never forsaken.

“The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.” -Psalm 29:11
