...well, the year isn't over yet, so...

Despite all that’s happened, I still believe that anything I set out to do can be accomplished. While certain personal challenges have delayed many of my plans lately, they have also taught me patience and perseverance.

“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” -Romans 8:25

One day soon, I’d like to share a deeply personal testimony with you all. It involves nearly every test a person could go through (really, I’m not kidding). I have been tested in all areas of my life, including my health, my mobility, my relationships and my faith. But through it all, God has been with me.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” -Deuteronomy 31:8

I’ve come to understand that my success in life–in every aspect–rests solely in God’s hands. I have no choice but to trust Him, especially now, because there’s literally no other option. Honestly, however, I’ve found that such a position is the best place to be. It hasn’t been easy at all, but it has been a powerful lesson: for all good things come from God, the source. He is the vine and I am a branch.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” -John 15:5

No matter what challenges I’ve faced, He has always provided for me, often through the kindness of others (you know who you are–and I greatly appreciate you and love you so dearly). I know without a doubt that God works through people and I have been blessed to encounter some big-hearted individuals–people I will always cherish because they allowed themselves to be used by Him to help me. They (not many at all) have been a completely Godsend and angel in disguise. God made sure that I didn’t have to face it all alone. I’m forever grateful to them; more than words can say. Thank you. All of you.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19

So, as I look ahead, I do so with hope and expectation. I no longer feel as though I’ve missed out that I won’t accomplish my plans. I trust that God will help me with everything this year, regardless of how things have been or how they currently appear.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11

I walk forward in faith, knowing that my story is not yet finished, and neither is this year. In fact, I’m just getting started.

Even this website–something I purchased more than a decade ago and was long forgotten–has been revived by God’s grace, and for free! That’s how I knew I was meant to write these things here this year! And though this was an old goal of mine from my younger self of 2011, TODAY, I’m meant to reach someone in a special way! And I know that I already have!
