…Authenticity
I’ve lived a life full of false friends, a false lover, and false opportunities. So much of what I thought was real ended up being an illusion, leaving me empty and searching for something true. But when I returned to God after wandering in the world for far too long, can you guess what He did?
He welcomed me back with open arms…just like the prodigal son. His love is pure, unchanging, and unwavering. It was the most genuine thing I have and will ever know. You must experience it to truly understand. And it’s waiting for you, just so you know. It’s free. It’s what we have been searching for in other things all this time! I hope you wake up and realize that if you haven’t yet!
When He welcomed me home, in that moment, He also showed me who I truly was. After all the damage that had been done, after all the lies I believed about myself, He spoke truth over me: I was His personal Rose. And in a vision, He pinned me to His chest like a corsage, as if to say, You belong to Me. You are mine. I was so honored. I wont ever forget that image. That was the day I stopped trying to be anything other than who He created me to be. Even if others don’t think I’m “good enough”, I know that I am good enough for my God! Human opinions no longer define me; only His does.
”I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” —Psalm 139:14 (One of my favorite chapters in the Bible/Torah)
There is a book in heaven that contains my story. There’s one that contains yours too! Isn’t that something? To know that we are so important to God that He has collections upon collections of stories featuring His precious children?
”And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the book, according to their works.” —Revelation 20:12
I don’t think there is anything more special than the way God makes me feel. I am deeply grateful that not only is my God all powerful, but also that He is so kind, merciful, forgiving and just!
”Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His name.” —Malachi 3:16
I can testify that He has been there all my life, watching over me. Even when I strayed, He patiently waited for me to return to Him, not to punish me, but to bless me with the fullness of His love. He is my best friend. I include Him in everything; for I would miss Him terribly if I don’t! I’m able to look back at my past and see where His righteous right hand held me together.
”For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.” —Isaiah 41:13
I am completely humbled by His greatness; is sincerity. I owe Him everything. So when He told me to bring this website back (after years it had been dead) and write about Him, I couldn’t refuse.
There are days when I don’t feel like writing. Life tries to get in the way. But God is my priority. He is The One I yearn to see and be with at the end of it all. He is what’s most important to me; forever and always. And so, as I promised, I will write here for Him every single day until He tells me I should stop.
Have you ever felt this way about God?
What is your relationship with Him like?
Can you recall a time when He was there for you?
How did it change your life?
What do you have a yen for?
”Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” —Psalm 34:8
I pray many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many many blessings over you!
