…my demonic neighbor.

Actually, all of them. They’re all friends who knew each other before moving in, and over time, I’ve realized their presence in my life hasn’t brought peace—but torment. I truly believe they are being used as monitoring spirits, gangstalkers, and manipulators. That might sound extreme, but the consistent pain, cruelty, and spiritual heaviness they bring feels too targeted to be anything but spiritual warfare.

They are selfish and cruel, and they seem to delight in hurting me—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. What’s worse is, I’m stuck here. I can’t afford to move right now, especially as I’m still recovering from a major injury and surgery. Healing has been so difficult when the environment around me is filled with tension, noise, and people who go out of their way to disturb my peace.

I have no privacy, no safety, and certainly no quiet. People come in and out of the home constantly. They eavesdrop, follow me from the floor above, and invade my space. And even though I pray for them—as God has commanded us to do—I still long for a time when I no longer have to interact with people who carry such darkness.

“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

—Matthew 5:44 (ESV)

Their behavior reminds me of Pharaoh in the Book of Exodus—hard-hearted, relentless, and unmoved by kindness or grace.

“But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the Israelites go.”

—Exodus 10:20 (NIV)

And like the Israelites, I am pleading with God to deliver me from this personal Egypt. I want peace. I want safety. I want sunshine, fresh air, and neighbors who fear God and show compassion. I don’t need to win—I just want to be free.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

—Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

This situation has not made me bitter. It’s only made me more certain of the kind of person I don’t want to be. I will not mirror their behavior. Instead, I pray for my enemies and trust God to change hearts—if they are willing. If not, I still trust Him to rescue me.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

—Romans 12:21 (NIV)

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”

—Psalm 34:17 (NIV)

I know God sees what’s happening even if no one else does. I know He’s working behind the scenes, and I believe that one day—hopefully soon—He will open a door for me to leave and never return to this place of torment. I’ve been through enough abuse in my life. I’m asking God now, let this be the end of it. I want to walk in peace. I want to rest.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

—Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

—Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Let them have this house. I just want freedom. I want my promised land.

As always: thank you for stopping by today and…
