...to believe in myself.
That might sound like something you’re supposed to do—but for me, it’s been a lifelong challenge. When the world seems determined to break you, when you’re met with silence instead of support, believing in yourself feels more like an act of defiance than confidence.
But even in my lowest moments, God has never failed to remind me of who I truly am. My worth isn’t defined by this world—it’s defined by the One who made me. And even if I may never fully grasp the depth of my value the way I’d like to, I know this much: God loves me. He loves me enough to create me, to place me here, and to give me life. He loves me enough to die for me.
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
So I continue on. I may not always see what He sees in me, but I trust that He does. And I pray He’ll have mercy on my blind spots—on the times I’ve doubted not only myself, but His plan for me. Because even when I’m hard on myself, God never leaves me there. He lifts me up.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
“Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” — Psalm 37:24
So yes… the riskiest thing I did this year was believe in myself. But more importantly, I believed in the One who made me. And He has never let me down.
I hope to anyone out there that has ever felt this way, I pray that God will help you see you’re worth too, and that you’re worthy of life and good things.
Thanks for stopping by.
