...the piano.
I’ve been trained in classical music from an early age. I play the clarinet and still have the same one I used in grade school—now, I own three of them. I play them for comfort. Music has always been a safe place for me—whether I’m listening, singing, or playing an instrument. It calms my heart and lifts my spirit.
Last year, I purchased a keyboard, hoping to finally start learning piano, but between time and finances, I haven’t been able to take lessons yet. Still, I haven’t given up on that dream. There’s something about the piano—its soft, dreamlike melodies—that speaks to something deep inside me. I would love to master it someday.
And I believe I will.
The Bible reminds me that:
“with God all things are possible” -Matthew 19:26
As long as I have breath in my lungs and the desire in my heart, there’s still time. God is the One who places dreams within us, and I trust that if this longing to learn piano brings me closer to peace and purpose, He will make a way.
Even King David, known as a man after God’s own heart, was a musician. His psalms were songs of praise, lament, and truth. Scripture says:
“Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy” -Psalm 33:3
Music has always been a sacred form of expression—an offering, a comfort, and a connection to the divine.
So I hold onto this dream—not for fame or recognition—but because it speaks to something true inside me. One day, I hope to sit at the keys and play not just for myself, but for God.
See you next time.
